-League Play: Both leagues experienced crucial matchups this week. In the Premier League, Aviators keeps on top after defeating Mohawks FC, 2-1. Stonebury United, however, keeps strong on the leader after defeating third place Causmos, 3-2. Aviators leads the pack with 30 points with Stonebury United at 29. In the Select League, The Laws of Lalas came out strong and thrashed the powerhouse Dynamo Kyiv YCK, 5-2. Seattle SC failed to capitalize on the moment, however, and still are in second place after a 2-2 tie with Canicas C.F.. In the highest scoring match of the week, and in a long time, MoFos United came out guns blazing and defeated RealTalkRelli99, 5-4. MoFos United is just barely keeping themself in the race.

-League Play: Lots of shutouts in both leagues this week with only three teams scoring two goals. There was no movement in the Premier League but a major rift is occuring between the top three teams and the rest of the league. Aviators, Stonebury United, and Causmos all won their matchups against lower squads giving 3rd place a 6 point lead over 4th place. In the Select League, Seattle SC gave Dynamo Kyiv YCK their second loss of the season and closed the gap down to 2 points. The rest of the league is tightening up with only 5 points separating 3rd to 6th place.

-League Play: Many low scoring ties this week in both leagues. In the Premier League the major story is Stonebury United's 3-2 win over Mohawks FC, helping him to gain major ground. Stonebury United is now in second with 23 points. Aviators remains atop the group with 24 points despite losing 3-1 last week to Gamecocks, who now move out of relegation zone into 5th. The Select League saw very little change. Both Dynamo Kyiv YCK and Seattle SC earned another point this week after 1-1 draws against Las Vegas Nights and the Laws of Lalas, respectively. Canicas C.F. jumps past the Laws of Lalas to take over 3rd place.

-League Play: The Premier League powerhouses remained strong last week with Aviators, Causmos, and Stonebury United all earning victories over El futbol es asi, GameCocks, and Hounds FC, respectively. Both Causmos and Stonebury United leapfrogged Mohawks FC due to the bye week to move into 2nd and 3rd. The top 4 places are all tightening up and are looking to make a surge before the last quarter of the season. In the Select League the results were slightly different. Bottom feeders MoFos United pulled out a huge 2-2 tie against the dominant Dynamo Kyiv YCK. Las Vegas Nights pulled off a 2-1 upset over Canicas C.F. while the Laws of Lalas continue their quiet play defeating RealTalkRelli99, 1-0. Standings remain the same with the only change going to The Laws of Lalas for passing up Canicas C.F. to take over 3rd.
-ESF Cup (Final Replay): After the 1-1 draw between the two finalist, both teams came out eager to play and the match was played evenly for the whole 90 minutes. El futbol es asi scored a late goal giving them the 2-1 win to take the ESF Cup. Congratulations to El futbol es asi and good luck in this year's CWC!

-League Play - Most teams stayed strong in their position this week with little shift occuring in the tables. The Premier League saw no changes in the entire table, only a tightening of points between all teams. First (Aviators, 18 points) to fifth (Mohawks FC, 15 points) are only separated by 3 points. The Select League had a few switches but all were minor. Dynamo Kyiv YCK remains on top after the bye week with 24 points. Seattle SC is working to close the gap after winning 1-0 last week against MoFos United. Seattle SC now sits on 19 points. Canicas C.F. is in third with 17 while the rest of the league is falling behind.
-ESF Cup (Semifinals, Leg 1) - The first leg saw some tight matches. El futbol es asi had a 1-0 road win over RealTalkRelli99 while Stonebury United and Canicas C.F. battled to a 2-2 draw. The second leg will be played next week.
Matchday 12 Results & ESF Cup Quarterfinals
-League Play - Slight ripples occured throughout the standings after this weekend. In the Premier League, Aviators as taken over the top spot with 17 points after a 5-5 tie with Mohawks FC. Causmos dropped to second after being buried by stones and losing 6-1 to the now current 3rd place, Stonebury United. Hounds FC also jumped up from last to 4th with a narrow 2-1 victory over GameCocks. In the Select League, Dynamo Kyiv YCK jumps to 24 points after a 4-1 win over the Laws of Lalas. Dynamo Kyiv YCK is now 8 points ahead of the second place team and ten over third. They are starting to pull away, but the season still has over halfway to go. Seattle SC pulled back into second after defeating Canicas C.F. 3-2.
-ESF Cup (Quarterfinals, Leg 2) - The second leg of the Quarterfinals concluded this weekend seeing 4 teams advance to the Semis. Interesting note about the Quarterfinals, each matchup was between one Premier League team and one Select League team. RealTalkRelli99 defeated Causmos on away goals (3-1) after tieing the aggregate 3-3. El futbol es asi's 1 goal lead was all they needed in order to advance and they defeated the Laws of Lalas 6-5 on aggregate. Stonebury United came out strong again and defeated Las Vegas Nights 6-2 and 11-5 on aggregate. Canicas C.F. has also won their match with a 2-1 win in the second leg. The Semifinals will feature another set of Premier League vs. Select League matchups with the Quarterfinals finishing 2-2.

-League Play - More change this week than the prior weeks in both leagues. In the Premier league, Causmos remains on top and gains a point after a 2-2 tie with Mohawks FC. Aviators gains major ground on Causmos, who are on 17 points, by defeating Hounds FC 3-2. Aviators now have 16 points and are only one point behind the leader. Not much change in the rest of the table with ranks 3-7 all within 2 points. In the Select League, Dynamo Kyiv YCK, once again, remains in complete control. A strong 5-3 victory over the previous #2 Seattle SC puts them atop the group with 21 points, 7 points more than second place. Big swap in the middle of the table with both Canicas C.F. and The Laws of Lalas taking over the #2 and #3 spots in the table with Seattle SC and RealTalkRelli99 both drop to fourth and fifth, respectively.

Causmos has dropped to second place with 7 points, but they are only in second due to the GD tiebreaker. Stonebury United took over with a 2-2 with El futbol es asi placing them on top with 7 points in only 3 matches. Stonebury United is the only squad left unbeaten in the Premier League. Hounds FC jumps to third with 5 points after a 3-2 victory over Aviators. Aviators dropped to fourth with 5 points, Mohawks are in fifth with 3 points, and GameCocks and El futbol es asi round out the league with 2 points apiece.

The third remaining undefeated team is Seattle SC, who sit in 3rd with 5 points after another tie last week with the leaders, Dynamo Kyiv YCK. Coming in 4th is Canicas C.F. with 4 points, despite the rough loss to RealTalkRelli99. Las Vegas Nights also have 4 points after last week's 3-3 tie with the Laws of Lalas but sit in 5th on tiebreakers. MoFos United remain in 6th with the bye week last weekend and the Laws of Lalas round out the group with 1 points, after their tie with Las Vegas Nights.

-In the Premier League the standings are starting to shake out after 3 weeks of season play. Causmos jumps out to an early lead of the group after a 2-1 win over El futbol es asi. Causmos is in first with 7 points and 3 matches played. Stonebury United continued their success with a 2-0 win over Mohawks FC. Stonebury United is in 2nd with 6 points and only 2 matches played. Aviators sits close in 3rd with 5 points, Hounds FC is in 4th with 3 points, GameCocks in 5th with 2 points, El futbol es asi with 1 point, and Mohawks FC rounds out the group with 0 points after 2 matches.

RealTalkRelli99 (bye last week) remains tied for second with 4 points and Canicas CF is also tied for second after a draw last week with MoFos United. -In the Premier League, both Aviators and Causmos claimed victories setting them both atop the group with 4 points a piece. Stonebury United opened up season play this week strongly defeating Hounds FC 4-1 and taking over the third place position. Tied with Stonebury United at 3 points is Hounds FC. Both GameCocks and El futbol es asi had losses last week and sit on 1 points with Mohawks FC rounding out the league with 0 points. Both Stonebury United & Mohawks FC have only played one match.

Opening Weekend
-Matchday 1 turned out to be a very uneventful week for most teams. In the Premier League, Hounds FC was the only side to pull out a victory with a 1-0 win over Mohawks FC. Both of the other matches ended in a 1-1 draw. In the Select League, both Las Vegas Nights and Dynamo Kyiv YCK had 2-1 victories over MoFos United and Canicas C.F. respectively. Seattle SC and RealTalkRelli99 battled to a 0-0 draw. Matchday 2 takes place next week (Week 4).
The Elite Soccer Federation Cup
-The ESF Cup is finalized and a link to the website is posted. Format, schedules, standings, etc., are all posted on the site. Group play begins on Week 10 and the Finals are on Week 17. The winner will advance to the MFLS Cup Winner's Cup.
Preaseason
-The ESF 2009 Schedule and Leagues are set. All the pages have been completely updated and ready to go.
-Currently a midseason cup is in the works and will be created within the next coming days. The winner of the cup will also be granted a bid into the Cup Winners Cup.
-Season play kicks off this coming week (Week 3) so good luck to all teams!
Final Season Results
-Matchday 28
concluded the ESF season with some movement in the leagues.
In the Premier League, Stonebury United came out victorious
over GameCocks, 2-0, giving them 40 points for the season.
With the win, Stonebury United passed Aviators, who had a bye
week, to claim the ESF Premier League title. Aviators
finished second with 38 points, Mohawks FC finished third with 33
points, GameCocks fourth with 32, Causmos fifth with 31,
Hounds FC sixth with 30, and El futbol es asi taking last with 25.
Congratulations to Stonebury United! The Select
League's champion was announced already last week but congratulations
again to Dynamo Kyiv YCK on dominating all season long!
Seattle SC finished in second with 37 points, The Laws of
Lalas third with 32, Las Vegas Nights fourth with 31, and
RealTalkRelli99, Canicas C.F. and MoFos United all finishing with 27.
The tie was broken on Head-to-Head with RealTalkRelli99
taking 5th, Canicas C.F. taking 6th, and MoFos United finishing in 7th.

only one week remaining, the battle for the Premier League title has
tightened up. Aviators, who are currently sitting in first in
38
points, have finished their season play while Stonebury United has 37
points with another match to go next week. If Stonebury
United
defeats GameCocks in Matchday 28, then Stonebury United will be the
Premier League champion. If Stonebury United ties GameCocks,
then
the tiebreaker for champion will go first head-to-head, where the two
teams (Aviators and Stonebury United) have battled with each team
earning one victory and the other two matches ending in a tie.
Since head-to-head doesn't solve the tie, we move to GD where
Aviators has finished the season on 0 and Stonebury United currently
has 13. So if the match does end in a tie, Stonebury United
will
still be the champion. Aviators will be the champion only if
Stonebury United is defeated. The Select League, unlike the
top
flight, has been settled after Seattle SC's 2-0 loss to MoFos United
last week. Because of the loss, the most Seattle SC could do
this
week is to tie Dynamo Kyiv YCK for the top of the standings but Dynamo
Kyiv YCK would win the tiebreaker on head-to-head so congratulations to
Dynamo Kyiv YCK on being the Select League champion!

weeks remain with the top teams in both leagues remaining in
contention. With a win this week, Aviators can clinch the
Premier
League, but if there is any slipup, Stonebury United has two more
matches with potential to take the title. GameCocks has
little
hope of winning the title but they are not yet eliminated.
Everyone else is out of the running. The Select
League is
down to two teams, Dynamo Kyiv YCK and Seattle SC. Everyone
else
is out of contention. Anything can happen in the next two
weeks.

Play - Upsets abounded this week in the League play with 5 of the 6
winners being lower in the tables. The Premier League table
tightened with the upsets with the gap from 1st to 7th only being 4
points. Causmos is still on top with 13 points and Aviators
is
now in 2nd with 12. Tied for third, GameCocks, Stonebury
United,
El futbol es asi, and Hounds FC all have 10 points. Mohawks
FC
has 9 points in 7th. The Select League stayed relatively the
same
once again. Dynamo Kyiv YCK is still atop the group with 15
points despite suffering their first lost. Seattle SC and
RealTalkRelli99 are 2nd and 3rd with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Tied for 4th, Canicas CF, The Laws of Lalas, and Las Vegas

all have 8 points while MoFos United makes up ground and is in 7th with

Kyiv YCK continues their dominance with a 3-2 win last week and is in

Aviators dropped to fourth with 5 points, Mohawks are in fifth with 3 points, and GameCocks and El futbol es asi round out the league with 2 points apiece.

-In the Premier League, both Aviators and Causmos claimed victories setting them both atop the group with 4 points a piece. Stonebury United opened up season play this week strongly defeating Hounds FC 4-1 and taking over the third place position. Tied with Stonebury United at 3 points is Hounds FC. Both GameCocks and El futbol es asi had losses last week and sit on 1 points with Mohawks FC rounding out the league with 0 points. Both Stonebury United & Mohawks FC have only played one match.
-In the Select League, RealTalkRelli99 and Canicas C.F. claimed their first victories of the season and sit on 4 and 3 points, respecitively. Dynamo Kyiv YCK leads the group with 4 points after a 2-2 tie with MoFos United in Matchday 2. Las Vegas Nights suffered a loss but still sits in 4th with 3 points. MoFos United and Seattle SC (only one match played) have 1 point each while The Laws of Lalas dropped their season opener this week leaving them in 7th.
Opening Weekend
-Matchday 1 turned out to be a very uneventful week for most teams. In the Premier League, Hounds FC was the only side to pull out a victory with a 1-0 win over Mohawks FC. Both of the other matches ended in a 1-1 draw. In the Select League, both Las Vegas Nights and Dynamo Kyiv YCK had 2-1 victories over MoFos United and Canicas C.F. respectively. Seattle SC and RealTalkRelli99 battled to a 0-0 draw. Matchday 2 takes place next week (Week 4).
The Elite Soccer Federation Cup
-The ESF Cup is finalized and a link to the website is posted. Format, schedules, standings, etc., are all posted on the site. Group play begins on Week 10 and the Finals are on Week 17. The winner will advance to the MFLS Cup Winner's Cup.
Preaseason
-The ESF 2009 Schedule and Leagues are set. All the pages have been completely updated and ready to go.
-Currently a midseason cup is in the works and will be created within the next coming days. The winner of the cup will also be granted a bid into the Cup Winners Cup.
