Format
The
Elite Soccer Federation (ESF) is a fantasy league ran through Major
Fantasy League Soccer (MFLS) involving various managers. The teams will
be split into two seperate leagues: The Premier League & The
Select League. The top half of the fantasy clubs will be
playing in the Premier League while the bottom half will compete in the
Select League. At the end of each season, the bottom portion
of the top flight will be relegated down to the Select League while the
top portion of the bottom flight will be promoted into the Premier
League. The champion of the Premier League each year will be
crowned the Elite Soccer Federation Champion.
Rules
- There will be 14 total teams participating in the Elite
Soccer Federation in its inaugural season. The Premier League
(top flight) & the Select League (bottom flight) will each
consist seven teams.
- At the end of each season the two last place teams in the
Premier League will be relegated while the two top teams of the Select
League will be promoted.
- Each team will face off against every team in their league
4 times, giving a grand total of 24 games matches played in the season.
- A win will be worth 3 points, a tie worth 1, and a loss
worth 0.
- The participating clubs will accumlate "goals" in a match
by the number of actual goals their MFLS team scores for the given
week. MFLS points will not be used and own goals will not be
counted against a team.
- In future years the ESF will look to expand to possibly 20+
teams total or even a 3rd league. The expansion won't be
immediately though.
- The first place team at the end of the season in the
Premier League will be crowned the Elite Soccer Federation Champion.

Activity
Activity
in MFLS is a very important aspect
to the Elite Soccer Federation. Punishments will be given to
a team for inactivity.
- Probation:
- Skips of 5+ weeks at
a time.
- Over 10+ weeks with
no roster moves spread throughout season.
- Out of ESF:
- Skips of 15+ weeks consecutively.
- Over 20+ weeks with no roster moves spread
throughout season.
- Dropping off the face of the MFLS-earth
completely and failing to make any moves.
Teams
can get off probation by consistently making moves for the same amount
of consecutive weeks that they missed or by talking in the MFLS Forums
and showing that they're active. If a team gets the boot from
the ESF, they will only be allowed to join the ESF again after proving
they are active (by playing MFLS the next year and not having skips).
